Watch or Warning, know the difference

Hurricane Season has begun, and the National Weather Service is urging everyone to know the difference in warning or watch.

When a "Watch" is issued the potential for development of conditions such as hail, lightening, tornado, or hurricane has been identified. Residents should be on alert to storm development. When a "Warning" is issued the weather condition has been detected and residents should take cover.
