Alligator Snapping Turtle, protected in Texas

The Alligator Snapping Turtle is a protected species in Texas. Intentionally capturing, injuring or killing them is illegal. If you accidentally catch one please do your best to release it unharmed. 

Report an Alligator Snapping Turtle (live or dead) along with a photo, with GPS and coordinates to help us locate them by email at snappingturtle@sratx.org.
