COVID-19 update from Sabine County, numbers in schools decrease

Sabine County received COVID-19 numbers on Nov. 2. 

The numbers in Sabine County School District's dropped this week as reported by Sabine County Judge Daryl Melton. The official numbers provided to the county are done so by Jasper Newton Health District. Everyone does follow the numbers on the DSHS site by those appear not being updated in a timely manner. 

Last week 26 active positives were reported in the school districts alone. The numbers provided on Monday, Nov. 2 were down by 10 active, with a total of 16 active positives at West Sabine ISD, and Hemphill ISD. Hemphill is reporting six positive, while West Sabine is reporting 10 positives in their district.
