Toys for Tots Announces First San Augustine County Campaign

Broaddus, Texas, October 1, 2019 - Outdoor Freedom Network is announcing its affiliation with the Marine Foundations Toys for Tots Campaign to serve the residents of San Augustine County. The campaign will help the existing children's Christmas funds in San Augustine by providing new toys and books through the Toys for Tots Foundation and drop boxes placed with businesses, schools, and other locations within San Augustine County. All toys and donations received are distributed back into San Augustine County.

Anyone interested in volunteering or becoming a drop off location can contact one of the following San Augustine Toys for Tots representatives.

As part of the San Augustine campaign Outdoor Freedom Network and Jackson Hill Park and Marina will be holding two Toys for Tots fishing tournaments. OFN through its Deep East Texas High School fishing series will task student anglers with buying and bringing new toys as part of their November 16th tournament. The following weekend November 23rd there will be an open team fishing to benefit this year's inaugural campaign.

Toys for Tots, a 73-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each Christmas holiday season. The toys, books, and other gifts collected and distributed by Marines and volunteers offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime. We believe it is such experiences that help disadvantaged children become responsible citizens and caring members of their community.
