Sabine County, Texas-

Sabine County Judge Daryl Melton has confirmed a Sabine County resident has tested positive to COVID-19. According to the update the individual was tested for the virus in Angelina County. The notification in from the Jasper Newton Health District from DSHS at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon. "All proper authorities have been notified," he said.

The one other test showing up for Sabine County on DSHS and CDC websites was a Louisiana resident who quarantined in Texas. The positive case was moved to Sabine County due to monitoring. The individual has recovered.

At this time we know that DSHS is in the process of notifying all that tested Thursday, April 30, at the mobile site. Judge Melton stated the county will only be notified if there were any positives. As of this morning no notifications.-
