Sabine County Courthouse

Sabine County Judge Daryl Melton issued a statement this morning confirming that zero cases had been confirmed in the county. "However, we are still waiting on several test results," he said. "We have to do our part and do what the executive order says, it is there for a reason."

So far in Sabine County 16 test have been submitted to HHS for testing, 11 have come back negative, and five are pending results. Don't let your guard down, Sabine County is surrounded by communities with positive results on all sides. Sabine County Judge Daryl Melton tells us several residents have been asked to quarantine due to exposure to COVID-19.

Everyone is reminded that the clear and present danger of exposure is extremely high, and that all precautions should be taken to avoid exposure, by staying at home, socially distancing, washing hands often, avoiding contact and close proximity to anyone else, and avoiding public places as much as possible. It’s simple…Stay at Home.
