Sabine County COVID-19 numbers for Aug. 5, 2020

Judge Melton urges everyone to use common sense. "To slow down the transmission of the virus, wearing of mask in public, social distancing, sanitizing and washing hands, along with avoiding crowds are all recommended. We have faith that you, as an individual, will make proper decisions for yourself and others pertaining to COVID-19."

On the 2nd of July, 2020, the Governor of Texas issued Executive Order No. GA-29 regarding the use of face coverings during the COVID-19 pandemic and also issued a proclamation amending Executive Order No. GA-28 relating to mass gatherings in Texas during the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, there are several instances where the Governor’s Executive Order does not address certain situations or seems unclear. Please refer all specific inquiries to the Office of the Texas Governor or to the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).
