J.R. Huffman Public Library

Please take note of our new business hours the new hours are Monday thru Thursday, 9 a.m. thru 3 p.m.; closed Friday-Sunday. Computer usage is from 9 a.m. thru 2:45 p.m. with a 30-minute limit.

Face masks are required to enter into the library; patrons are limited to 8 at a time.

A big shout out to the Hemphill VFW Women’s Post and the Hemphill’s VFW Men’s Post for all the new children’s and young adult books we were able to buy with their generous donations!

Our friend of the library, Sandy Ray, has a great selection of used books for purchase. All funding goes to the library for different purchases.  Sandy has been a dedicated volunteer for the library since the doors were opened!!!  A great big shout out her for all the things she does for us here at the library! We love you Sandy!

Stop by the library and have JaNelle or Cynthia help you with one of our many services:  books, audio books, videos, laminating, computer usage, copies, faxes, proctor tests, community information, etc.

We are accepting book, DVD and audio book donations. Materials need to be in almost new to new condition. We ask that you please not leave any donations outside of our business door or in our drop box.  All material has to be checked before being brought into the library. If you have a donation, call us and we will gladly speak with you about it.
