The Hemphill Hornets hosted the annual Lineman Challenge, and the home team was definitely up to the challenge by holding on to the trophy. Five teams completed in eight strength and endurance events including: Hemphill, Many, San Augustine, Joaquin, West Sabine.

The eight event competition included Bench Press, Truck Push, Farmers Walk,  Tractor Tire Flip Relay, Obstacle Course Relay. Tug of War, Grip Strength, and Med Ball Toss.

Coach Reggie Parks thanks all of the sponsors who helped make this annual event. Without the kind generosity of the Hemphill ISD Cafeteria and George and Teresa Ross, along with Napa Auto Parts, Morris Cattle Company, B&B Contractors, Sabine state Band, Provine Photography, and Jason Hancock events like these would not be possible.

A shout-out to the Hemphill Hornet Lineman Challenge Team who held on to the 2019 trophy, Lance Collins, Buddy, Celvin Proctor, Joe Harris, Jed Scott, Malik Wilkerson, Kordale Oliphant, Kolten Ross, Trevor Harley, Seth Murray.
