24th Annual Six Mile Volunteer Fire Department Turkey Shoot and Raffle Six Mile VFD is scheduled for Oct. 19. The fundraiser will kick-off at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning and guest will shoot rifles at a target to win a turkey. Breakfast food will be served.

Hemphill Lions Club is getting ready for opening night Saturday, October 5th."Be there and be scared." The annual event will be open each Saturday in October, and of course a special, Halloween fright night is on tap for Oct. 31. Stay tuned for updates as opening night draws near.
