Senior Center

COVID-19 has taken it's toll on most 2020 events where family and friends gather since March. The numbers have went up and down. Over the past month Sabine County has had an increase in positive cases. As Fall is the season for most types of viruses, Coronavirus is no different. After much concern over the ability to keep everyone safe the East Sabine Nutrition Center has cancelled the annual community Thanksgiving Dinner. This is indeed a popular event sponsored by the City of Hemphill, and the Center is filled to capacity. In an older than average community most who attend are high risk for complications if they contract virus. The second event is the Fall Health Fair, similarly the event has an older than average sector of the community who participate. The East Sabine Nutrition Center looks forward to the pandemic ending and getting back to all the fun events. Thank you for understanding and your support.
