Brookshire Brothers has been informed that three of its Hemphill team members have tested positive for COVID. Our top priority is the health and safety of our employee owners and customers. We are supporting our team members during their time of recovery and quarantine.
Throughout the pandemic, as soon as we are notified of a positive employee case, we follow all additional cleaning guidelines as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control as well as local and state health departments. This is on top of our ongoing sanitation processes and continual cleaning of high touch surfaces. Our team members have their temperature checked daily as they report to work and if they exhibit COVID symptoms they are sent home and not allowed back at work until they present a negative test. Our associates are required to wear masks and we encourage our customers to do the same.
As more cases are likely to occur across our region, we are committed to safeguarding the shopping experience through sneeze guards at our check-out lanes, social distancing markers, sanitation stations and clear signage regarding the wearing of masks. We all share in the responsibility of keeping this virus from spreading.
