Tranq. Bay Landing

Sabine Parish: Approximately 5 p.m. Yesterday, at Tranquility Bay Landing near Zwolle, Louisiana, Fishermen noticed a truck that had been idling for several hours at the boat ramp. The door was open and the owner was not around. Concerned, the called the Sabine Parish Sheriff's office. The Missing man's boat was adrift and unoccupied. A search of a 100 foot perimeter of the launch site failed to yield any signs of the man and the decision was made to call off the search and resume at daybreak this morning, using sonar.

Police stated he was the man, who has yet to be identified, was from out of town, down to pre-fish for a tournament. His wallet, keys and other items were inside of his truck. Sabine parish Deputy, Ron Rivers stated that the boat was not attached to it's lead rope and the man possibly drowned trying to retrieve it when the boat started to drift away.
