HOT AIR BALLOONS RETURN TO DESOTO PARISH JULY 14, 2019

GRAND CANE, LA – Colorful hot air balloons will be flying and landing at the C. E. “Rusty” Williams Airport on Sunday, July 14 from 4 to 10 pm in Grand Cane, Louisiana.  

The excitement of these vibrant hot air balloons is a sight to seefor the entire family. This is a free event sponsored by the DeSoto Parish Police Jury.

Gates open at 4:00 pm with a Carnival, Classic Car Show, and food/craft vendors galore. Get ready to enjoy live entertainment with Erick Willis and Band kicking off at 4:15. The winners of the Car Show will be announced at 6:00 pm, followed by a performance at 6:15 pm by Leon Chavis and the Zydeco Flames.

The Pole Grab with balloons and ring toss will begin at 7:30 pm with the much-anticipated Balloon Glow at 8:30 pm. Plan to stay late and enjoy an excellent fireworks display starting at 9:30 pm to round out a wonderful celebration.

Lifeshare Blood Centers will be on hand for a blood drive, along with food, drink, and craft vendors offering a little something for everyone. Vendor applications can be found online at http://www.desotoppj.com/. The vendor registration fee is $35.00 if paid on or before July 12. After that, the fee is $75.00 at the gate.
